Your business has progressed to the Finalist stage of the 2009 Business Awards by being among the top five vote getters in your category. That's a big acheivement; there were 600 businesses nominated this year, and 35,000 votes cast!

Below you will find information on the next steps. You must complete the Finalist questionnaire and return it to us by September 11. Some businesses may be visited by a Mystery Shopper. A panel of business judges will review finalist applications and choose the winners, which will be announced at the Awards Dinner October 20 at Sheraton on the Park.
Finalist Reception
All Finalists are invited to attend a complimentary reception hosted by Angela Vithoulkas, Director of Vivo Cafe Group. Vivo Café’s won Outstanding Café of the Year in the City’s Business Awards in 2005 and 2006 as well as the Business of the Year in 2006. Angela won the NSW Business Owner Award at the 2007 Telstra Business Women's Awards. Contact us if you would like to RSVP to this function September 1 at Customs House.
Questionnaire
To be considered for a Winners Award in your category, you must fill in the questionnaire and return it to us by September 11. Detailed instructions are on the form. Contact us with any questions on 8353 1950.

Finalists in the Fair Trade category have a special questionnaire. Please contact us.
The questionnaire should take you a couple of hours to complete, depending on how much detail you include. The more detail you provide on your business the better.
All Finalists may be considered for the Lord Mayor’s Sustainability Award presented by EnergyAustralia by completing the special section on the questionnaire. EnergyAustralia is providing a $4000 voucher toward the purchase of energy efficient equipment to the winner.
Finalist Logo
Finalists are entitled to use the Business Awards Finalist logo on your company collateral, on your business website, or send it out to your database to thank them for their votes. There are 4 variations of the logo, small and large with white and coloured backgrounds.

Awards Dinner- Tuesday 20 October
Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner, and space is limited so please book early. The Dinner will be at Sheraton on the Park in Sydney, hosted by David Koch from Sunrise. Click here for more information.
