The event organisers and City of Sydney take great care with practices that affect personal privacy and the policy relating to this follows.
Data Collected through the City of Sydney Business Awards program.
The event organisers, Business Events, and the City of Sydney are co-ordinating the City of Sydney Business Awards. In order to conduct the Awards program, personal and business information is collected through various means:
- Online nomination form on the website completed by businesses themselves, or their employees, which allows them to enter the Awards program
- Online booking form and ticket sales through the website for the Gala Awards Night
- Online voting form on the website completed by members of the general public
- SMS voting by the general public.
The event organizers do not sell personal information. Unless otherwise indicated on the online nomination form, the event organisers may disclose information collected on the form to partners of the City of Sydney Business Awards and the City of Sydney for future promotional and marketing purposes. We may also disclose information to third party contractors and service providers who assist in the delivery of the Awards program.
The event organizers hold the personal information collected in a secure database which is both physically and electronically secure. It is held in a professional hosting centre and protected behind firewalls and access to the data is only via authenticated web requests or via the user interface by an authenticated user. Should you wish to correct or change the information collected by the event organisers, please notify them of the change or correction by emailing . An email confirmation will be sent once the change or correction has been made.
Data that identifies the user can also be collected in the following circumstances:
Computer Information
It is a necessary part of visiting any web site, including the City of Sydney Business Awards site, that the user's web browser provides the machine's identity (its IP address) to the web server, so that the server can address the reply to the correct machine. In addition, the browser type and operating system are provided.

Users 16 and Under
